Still Learning about Research

     In writing this essay for the Rhetorical Analysis assignment I have learned many new and helpful things. The whole process of researching a topic is new to me. I always started with an article and wrote about it assuming it was true. That was the old high school Jason; the new college Jason is learning a whole lot.

     In reading some of the blogs from last week’s assignments I learned about the writing lab at Kent library. Thanks to Jeniese Fox for that information. I had no idea that there was such a thing. Next time we are writing an essay and I am having trouble I will definitely consider using this resource.

     Second, thanks to the tutorials Mr. Sentell had us review; I learned a lot more about Kent library and how to use it. The tutorials explain so much about what kind of sources to use, how accurate they may be, when the internet can be useful (and when not), and so much more. Next time I’m writing a paper I know I need to start much earlier and do some research to try and improve my paper. Practice makes perfect when it comes to learning how to do research. My assignment told me that and I am now a true believer.

     I haven’t actually set foot in a library in years. Now that I know how easy the Kent library website makes it, I may give it a try.
