Using the self-review process: Describe your papers strengths
and weakness.
The Rhetorical Analysis Essay is our current assignment in
English class. This week specifically we were to have our rough draft done and
use the self-review process to help us in making final revisions before the
paper is due on October 16th.
I did find that one weakness to my paper is I don’t think it
was the best match to the assignment. It is too late to change now so I have to
keep going with what I've got. Next time need to spend more time on getting the
correct paper to analyze up front.
One of my strengths is that there are clear relationships
between the thesis and supporting points. If I rely on this strength maybe it
will overcome my weakness just enough that I can pull this off after all.
Jason, I always edit as I go, and I also have a hard time using this review process. I know that this process will be really helpful if I use it correctly, but I always struggle with it.
ReplyDeleteI, too, felt like I picked a poor topic after I had already started. This really frustrated me, and made me feel like my essay was going to be terrible. However, I pressed though. Your strength is my weakness. For some reason my relationships between the supporting point and thesis paper are weak. I think this is because, in my mind, I know what I am trying to say, so it is harder for me to pick up on these things. I will have to develop my editing eye. haha
