BLOG: About the essay I’m going to write an essay about

I hate to say it, but once again I was struggling to do an English assignment. I mean the Essay #2 instructions are clear enough, I just couldn't find the perfect essay to write about. After much deliberation, and some sweating, I chose a blog posting entitled, “Please Join!! Service Clubs Plead for Members” by Ted Landphair.

It’s not exactly what I would have considered the perfect essay for the assignment. It’s just every time I would try to pick out something I kept coming up with nothing. I didn't like the topic, I couldn't see their thesis, or I didn't think it would work for the assignment. So finally I tried to pick a topic I knew something about.

I may lose points for originality, not even sure if a blog post counts as an essay, but it does have all the same principles of an essay. Sometimes if I write about something I do know about and support it makes me more at ease when I write. This subject is near and dear to my heart. Loss of service club members means less money for charitable donations, less social interaction, and less community support. I should be able to use what we have learned so far and analyze this essay while interjecting in my own supporting facts and opinion.
